Tomica Mercedes Benz SLS AMG

Yey! I got mine today!

This supercar is famous because of its gullwing doors and the style is very unique I can say.

Tomica did a great job here. Highly detailed, plus of course, opening gullwing doors!

Hope you enjoyed the show :)

Chevrolet Camaro by Tomica

Kung Hei Fat Choi everyone!
I went to the mall yesterday to visit the outside world after a long week of work and to buy "tikoy" to celebrate Chinese New Year. Of course I won't miss the chance to visit Toys R Us.

Whenever I am in a toy store, the first thing I always check is the acrylic display case of Tomica. I don't know why, either. The fact that my collection is 70% Hot Wheels and 15 % Matchbox and the rest consists of other brands (including Tomica) makes this habit a bit odd. The usual routine is after checking Tomica and find nothing interesting, I will go to the Hot Wheels and Matchbox section.

But yesterday was different. It was Tomica > stay....> Hot Wheels > Matchbox > Hot Wheels > Tomica > other toys > Tomica.

In the end, I found myself getting this:

Because a regular Tomica has a higher price than regular Hot Wheels and Matchbox, my criteria for buying from this brand is always the details and if the car is worth it.

And I can say that it is.

What I always like in Tomica is it's opening doors, though not all of their casting has them. Maybe that's also one reason why I bought this :-)

Details are good.

And another reason for buying this is my frustration with Tomica's Bumblebee. Man, that's too pricey for my taste. But this one satisfies me for a low price. I can just put black stripes on it's hood and it will become Bumblebee. (But I don't think I will do that LOL!)

I love that Chevy!

4x4's

I just want to share my two favorite 4x4's by Tomica

A Wrangler and an old Land Cruiser ;-)

Tomica is one of the best in giving a very detailed look for a 1:64 diecast model. No wonder that their price is higher than the other brands..

This is the first time I saw that Jeep logo on the bumper. I didn't notice that before.

That extra wheel is my favorite part of this Wrangler. I really want to have a 1:1 Jeep Wrangler! *drool*

And this one is everyone's favorite LOL. 'coz man, this casting of Tomica is a very expensive line of collection! You can almost buy a lot of regular Hotwheels for just a piece... well those are exclusives not like this that I have. This LC is from 40th anniversary and I just got it for 300 bucks. At least I have one. I doubt if I'd be able to buy more LOL.

I love that Toyota logo on both sides..

But I also want it yellow like my Wrangler. I'm planning to repaint it so I won't be tempted to purchase a yellow version (I will if someone sells it for 80% off or lowered it to 300 bucks ..lol)

and these are my favorite 4x4's. I hope you like them too :)
